Kayrae vs Botika: Which AI Fashion Photography Tool in 2026?
Disclosure: Can Bayrak is the founder of Kayrae. This comparison describes Botika fairly on its strengths and cites third-party reviews.
Updated 6 October 2026: Botika details refreshed against its own terms, FAQ, help centre and current review scores (all accessed 5 October 2026). Botika was formerly at botika.io, which now redirects to botika.com.
Kayrae vs Botika: which is better? Botika suits an apparel-only brand that already has on-model or flat-lay shots and wants catalogue images from a preset library of models and backgrounds, with a free trial to test it. Kayrae is the stronger pick for a brand producing a full catalogue that needs the same models, brand look, and video across every drop, logos checked on every frame, and full ownership of the output. The real split is a preset, licence-based service (Botika) versus catalogue-scale consistency and production infrastructure you own the results of (Kayrae).
TL;DR: Kayrae vs Botika
- Botika runs its own fashion-trained models, has a free trial of 8 credits with no card, and offers human fixes on annual plans.
- Kayrae adds the production layer: brand kit, identity lock, a reviewer agent that checks every frame for logo drift, persistent canvas, video, and auto-export for catalogue scale.
- Ownership differs. Under Botika's terms, Botika owns the generated photos and you get a time-limited display licence. Under Kayrae's terms, the output is yours, including after your subscription ends.
- Botika holds 3.4/5 on Trustpilot from 23 reviews (accessed 5 October 2026), and its FAQ says "No refunds are issued".
- Kayrae costs more per credit and has no free tier, but it optimizes for cost per usable image.

Botika details from its FAQ, help centre, terms of service and pricing page, all accessed 5 October 2026.
Where Botika wins
Give Botika its due. It has a free trial of 8 credits with no card needed (FAQ), so the cost to test is near zero. It runs its own foundation models trained on fashion-specific data, accepts on-model, flat-lay and mannequin photos, turns clothing images into short video clips, and typically processes photos within 15 minutes (help centre). Annual-plan customers get a human fix service for distorted results (help centre). It markets "editorial-quality visuals" for campaigns (Botika), lists brands such as Forever 21, Perry Ellis and Jordache on its homepage, and raised an $8M seed round in January 2025.
One correction to earlier versions of this comparison: Botika's Shopify listing (now "Botika Connector") says the app is "not currently available on the Shopify App Store" (Shopify, accessed 5 October 2026), so we no longer describe it as Shopify-native.
Honest Kayrae limitation: Kayrae is pricier per credit, has no free tier, and is more platform than one-click app. If your entire need is a handful of single images, Kayrae is more tool than you require.
Where Kayrae wins
Kayrae is an AI creative performance platform for fashion brands, not just an image generator. It learns your brand's visual identity and creative taste, generates content around it, tracks how that content performs, and uses those signals to make the next campaign smarter.
The gap opens at scale. Botika works from a preset library: it does not support using your own models and backgrounds or changing makeup, hairstyle or expression on its models (help centre), and exclusive models sit on Enterprise (pricing). Kayrae is built around brand kit and identity lock, so image number 200 matches image number 1 without per-image art direction, and Batch keeps one model, one light and one art direction across a whole collection.
"The consistency across a hundred-SKU collection is what sold us. Not one reshoot." Marco Rinaldi, Creative lead
Direction is the other difference. Botika's FAQ says: "We don't offer the ability to make images from text or custom prompts" (FAQ). Kayrae does not need prompts either: you pick the model, scene and light from pictures, and typing a brief is optional when you want it. Its models are trained on editorial fashion video.
Kayrae also adds the production layer Botika lacks: a persistent canvas that keeps your session live for the next drop, one-line edits ("remove the necklace," "change the background to sand") in seconds, and auto-export of every ratio for Shopify, Trendyol, Meta, TikTok, and Instagram at once. Ads then schedules content to Instagram, Meta and TikTok and tracks performance by scene. See Kayrae's on-model generation.
Generation models change every month. What compounds is your brand's taste and your own performance data, and that is what Kayrae is built on.
Garment fidelity: logos, prints and accessories
An on-model image is only usable if the garment is the garment. Botika is open about its scope: it is clothing-only, and accessories "might be removed, slightly changed" (FAQ). It does not publish documentation on how it handles logos or prints. On that point the evidence comes from users and rivals: users report distortion on Trustpilot ("It always distorts my designs too"), and a competitor-authored blog from Style3D, which sells a rival tool, describes "warped prints" and "warped brand logos". Treat those as reports, not proof, and test your hardest SKU yourself.
On Kayrae, a reviewer agent checks every frame for logo drift before it reaches you (Kayrae products).
Who owns the images, and what happens to your uploads
Botika's terms of service (updated 1 June 2026) say Botika owns the photos the platform generates for you. You get a licence to display them in your own fashion business until the later of two years or the end of your subscription, and on termination you must "delete any Licensed Photos". The terms also say generated photos "may not be unique". To be fair, Botika's FAQ still says you can use the photos "freely for commercial use". The two read differently, and the terms are the binding document.
Under Kayrae's terms (section 8.3), output generated from your input belongs to you, and you may use it commercially, including after your subscription ends.
On uploads, Botika's terms say you keep the rights in your data, but you grant Botika an irrevocable, perpetual licence to use it "for the purpose of developing, maintaining, marketing and providing the Platform", and its privacy policy (updated 11 March 2026) lists AI "training" among its purposes. Neither document says outright that your garment images train its models. Kayrae does not train on your content unless you explicitly opt in.
What the reviews say
This is where the decision gets concrete. Botika holds 3.4/5 on Trustpilot from 23 reviews (31% one-star, 30% five-star) and 3.9/5 from 85 ratings on the App Store, both accessed 5 October 2026. Users report inconsistent results for the same input ("I loaded the same image three times and got completely different images"), fixes promised within 24 hours "taking 3-4 days", and billing confusion when upgrading. Botika's own terms say outputs "may be random" and should be evaluated for accuracy, including by human review. Those complaints map directly to the number that actually matters, cost per usable image: a cheap credit that returns a broken garment is not a saving, it is a reshoot.
Kayrae is priced for usable output, not raw generations. Brands running it in production report the operational result: Orchard and Co. replaced a three-person content team and a studio day, Kingbrich cut imagery costs by 70%, and Norda Tekstil ships a whole catalog in a day. Across the platform, brands have generated 48,000+ on-model images, with average delivery in roughly 30 seconds per garment.

Pricing
Botika runs on credits: 1 credit per photo and 5 per video, with a free trial of 8 credits and no card needed (FAQ). Its pricing page lists Pro, Advanced and Enterprise plans, but the figures it showed when we accessed it on 5 October 2026 were inconsistent, so check the live page. Its FAQ is clear on the terms: "No refunds are issued", and rollover credits "expire immediately" if you cancel.
Kayrae starts at $19/mo for Starter, from $43/mo for Pro (the most picked plan), and from $80/mo for Studio, with custom Enterprise pricing that adds API and virtual try-on. You see the exact credit cost before you generate, and unused credits roll over up to twice your allowance. Kayrae has no free tier. The right way to compare is not sticker price but cost per usable image across a real drop. See full pricing.
Who should choose which
- Choose Botika if you sell apparel only, already have on-model or flat-lay shots, want catalogue images from a preset library with a free trial, and are comfortable with its licence terms.
- Choose Kayrae if you produce a catalogue and need the same models, brand look, and video across every SKU and every drop, with logo checking, edits and auto-export built in, and you want to own the images you generate.

FAQ
Is Kayrae or Botika better for AI fashion photography? Botika suits an apparel-only brand that already has on-model or flat-lay shots and wants catalogue images from a preset library, with a free trial to test it. Kayrae is better for a brand producing a full catalogue that needs consistent models, brand look, logo checking and video across every drop, and wants to own the output. Botika leads on free trial access; Kayrae leads on catalogue-scale consistency, brand kit, identity lock, logo checking, canvas editing, auto-export and ownership.
Is Botika reliable? Botika holds 3.4/5 on Trustpilot from 23 reviews and 3.9/5 from 85 ratings on the App Store (both accessed 5 October 2026). Users report inconsistent results for the same input, distorted designs, slow fixes and billing confusion, and Botika's own terms say outputs may be random and should be checked by a person. Evaluate it on cost per usable image for your own products rather than on price per credit.
Who owns the images you create with Botika? Under Botika's terms of service (updated 1 June 2026), Botika owns the generated photos and gives you a licence to display them in your own fashion business until the later of two years or the end of your subscription, after which you must delete them. Botika's FAQ says the photos can be used freely for commercial use, so check the terms before you rely on that. Under Kayrae's terms (section 8.3), output generated from your input belongs to you and you may use it commercially, including after your subscription ends.
What is a good Botika alternative? Kayrae is the closest alternative for brands that outgrow single-image tools, adding brand kit consistency, identity lock across a catalog, a persistent editing canvas, video, and auto-export. Other options include FASHN for developers and Modelia for broad creative workflows.
How much do Kayrae and Botika cost? Botika uses credits, 1 per photo and 5 per video, with a free trial of 8 credits and no card needed; check its pricing page for current plan prices, and note that its FAQ says no refunds are issued. Kayrae starts at $19/month for Starter, from $43/month for Pro, and from $80/month for Studio, with custom Enterprise pricing.
