Pixelcut Pricing 2026: Plans, Credits and Reviews, and a Fashion Alternative

Disclosure: Can Bayrak is the founder of Kayrae, a Pixelcut alternative for fashion brands. Every Pixelcut price and rule below is cited to Pixelcut's own pages or a third-party source, checked on 6 October 2026.

How much does Pixelcut cost? On 6 October 2026, Pixelcut's web pricing was Free, Pro at $10/month ($8/month billed yearly) with 600 AI credits, and Business from $30/month ($24/month billed yearly) with 3,600 credits, scaling to 180,000 credits. App store prices can differ, and refunds on iOS and Android go through Apple or Google.

TL;DR: Pixelcut pricing and reviews

  • Plans: Free, Pro and Business, with 20% off for paying yearly (Pixelcut pricing, accessed 6 October 2026).
  • Credits: basic tools such as background removal are unlimited on paid plans; advanced and third-party AI models, including video, use credits.
  • Fashion: the Virtual Try-On page says it works on tops, with pants, dresses and accessories "coming soon" (Pixelcut, accessed 6 October 2026).
  • Refunds: no prorated refunds when you cancel; app store purchases are refunded by Apple or Google, not Pixelcut (help centre).
  • Reviews: 4.7 on the App Store and 4.2 on Google Play, but 1.7 on Trustpilot, where users report billing and refund problems.

Pixelcut plans and prices

Checked on Pixelcut's live pricing page on 6 October 2026. Checkout is through Stripe and the page says "Cancel anytime".

Free$0$0–––
Pro$10/month$8/month60031,000
BusinessFrom $30/monthFrom $24/monthFrom 3,600102,000

Pixelcut labels Business "Most Popular". A year of Pro works out to $96 and a year of entry Business to $288. Business scales by credits: the plan data embedded in the pricing page runs from 3,600 credits at $30/month to 180,000 credits at $1,200/month, or $960/month billed yearly.

What the Free plan includes: "Limited Background Removal", "Limited Upscale" and "Free export without watermark". Pixelcut's usage limits article (updated 21 May 2026) says free users typically get 3 uses a day of the generative tools. The commercial licence is listed on Pro and Business, not on Free.

Two things to know before you buy:

  • App prices differ. Pixelcut's help centre says pricing "may vary between iOS, Android, and Web" (help centre, updated 13 May 2026). The App Store listing shows Pro memberships from $4.99 to $89.99 and credit packs of 1,000 for $4.99 and 2,000 for $9.99.
  • The apps use different plan names. The credits article (updated 13 May 2026) lists Pro, Pro+ and Max, with weekly plans of 200, 400 and 1,000 credits a week, and monthly or yearly plans of 600, 3,600 and 9,000 a month.

How Pixelcut credits work

  • Basic tools are unlimited. Background Removal, Magic Eraser and Fast Upscaler are "practically unlimited" for subscribers (usage limits).
  • Generative tools have daily soft limits. AI Backgrounds, Generative Fill, Pro Eraser and Expand Image use no credits but are capped at about 300 a day on Pro and up to 1,200 a day on the top tier.
  • Advanced models use credits. Credits pay for certain advanced AI models, "particularly those provided by third-party partners", including every video model (pricing).
  • You see the cost first. The credit cost per model is shown in the model picker before you generate (credits).
  • Moderation can still cost you. "If a generation is blocked by content moderation after completion, credits are still consumed."
  • Credits reset each cycle. The billing cycle article (updated 4 June 2025) says credits "are reset according to your billing cycle". We found no rollover rule. Automatic top-ups charge $10 for 2,000 credits, up to a monthly limit you set (top-up).

The pricing page lists how many images or videos each model allows "up to" on Business. Those figures match the top 180,000-credit tier: Luma Photon Flash shows 180,000 images, and the help centre prices it at 1 credit per image. On that basis, Nano Banana Pro costs about 30 credits an image, Kling v3.0 Pro about 80 credits per 5-second clip, and Veo3.1 about 400 credits per clip. With Pro's 600 credits, that is roughly 20 Nano Banana Pro images, or one Veo3.1 clip, a month. Check the model picker for current costs.

What Pixelcut includes for fashion

Pixelcut has a Virtual Try-On tool that places your clothing on its library of models or on a model you upload, a try-on video generator, and AI product photography. The try-on FAQ says it "works on clothing tops of all fabrics and styles. The ability to try on pants, dresses, accessories is coming soon" (accessed 6 October 2026). If your range is mostly dresses or trousers, test that first.

On garment accuracy, Pixelcut's Try-On API page says the model "maintains patterns, textures, and garment features". We found no Pixelcut page that measures how often logos, labels or printed text change on try-on or product shots, so we cannot point to a documented fidelity gap. Its help centre does say: "AI-based image editing is inherently unpredictable" (help centre, updated 4 March 2026). Budget time to check each image against the real product.

Refunds and how to cancel a Pixelcut subscription

  • Cancelling: you can cancel at any time and keep access and credits until the end of the period (help centre, updated 27 June 2026). "Prorated refunds are not issued" (cancel anytime).
  • iOS: Apple handles refunds, and "If Apple declines the refund, we unfortunately aren't able to override that decision" (refunds, updated 13 May 2026).
  • Android: request a refund through Google Play.
  • Web: Settings, then Billing, then Manage Subscription, where you can cancel or request a refund. We found no stated refund window.
  • Renewal: Pixelcut's terms (updated 18 May 2026) say Apple subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends.

Check which plan you are on before you subscribe: the apps offer weekly billing, and on Trustpilot users report being charged more often than they expected.

Data, training and ownership

Pixelcut's terms grant it a licence to process your uploads "solely for the operation and maintenance of Pixelcut". Its commercial use article says you keep full ownership of images you have the rights to and can use the final designs commercially. The Try-On API page says API images "are never used for model training". We found no equivalent statement for the web and mobile apps in the terms, privacy policy or help centre, so ask Pixelcut to confirm in writing if that matters to you.

Pixelcut reviews and ratings

Google Play4.2 / 5244K reviews, 10M+ downloads6 October 2026
Trustpilot1.7 / 569 reviews, 81% one-star6 October 2026

App users rate the editor highly. Trustpilot is far lower: users report unexpected or repeated charges, difficulty getting refunds, and credits running out fast on advanced models. The Trustpilot profile was unclaimed when we checked. We could not open Pixelcut's G2 or Capterra pages, so we have not listed them. Pixelcut also briefly used the name Pixa, and its help centre says "Pixa is now Pixelcut again".

When Pixelcut is the better choice

Pixelcut is the better pick if:

  • You mainly need background removal and quick edits. Unlimited background removal, Magic Eraser and upscaling for $8 to $10 a month is very good value.
  • You work from your phone. Its iOS and Android apps are rated 4.7 and 4.2 by hundreds of thousands of users, and one purchase works across web and mobile.
  • You want many AI models in one place. Pixelcut gives access to dozens of image and video models from Google, Black Forest Labs, Runway, Kling and others on one credit balance.
  • Your budget is tight. Pro costs about half of Kayrae's $19 Starter plan.

A different option for fashion brands

If you pay for Pixelcut mostly for on-model imagery, the question is not how cheap a credit is but how many shots you can publish without fixing them. Kayrae is built around garment fidelity: a reviewer agent grades each frame for problems such as logo drift, seams and fabric fall, and re-runs failures. You pick model, scene and light from pictures, so typing a brief is optional, and Batch keeps the same model, light and art direction across a whole collection.

Kayrae is an AI creative performance platform for fashion brands, not just an image generator. It learns your brand's visual identity and creative taste, generates content around it, tracks how that content performs, and uses those signals to make the next campaign smarter.

"The consistency across a hundred-SKU collection is what sold us. Not one reshoot." Marco Rinaldi, Creative lead

Generation models change every month. What compounds is your brand's taste and your own performance data, and that is what Kayrae is built on.

Sources and methodology

Plans, prices and allowances were read from Pixelcut's live pricing page on 6 October 2026, including the plan data embedded in the page. Rules on credits, refunds, renewal and data are cited to Pixelcut's help centre, terms and API page. Per-model credit costs were derived from the pricing page's "up to" figures and cross-checked against the help centre. Prices change often, so check the live page before you buy.
